Option 2: By Land and Ferry
For another possible way, adventurous souls may travel from Hanoi to Rach Gia City on the mainland, which, depending on the mode of transport, could last for about 20-24 hours, possibly taking a bus or a drive. From Rach Gia, take a ferry to Phu Quoc Island. The ferry ride from Rach Gia to Phu Quoc lasts only about two hours. After arriving on the island, you can take a taxi or arrange for some kind of transport to your hotel.
