The sun shines through the gaps between the trees. It forms Tyndall light. Vines, mosses and other plants are covered with branches. It's like walking into the real Lord of the Rings forest. If you are planning to come to Indonesia's twin volcanoes, don't miss this niche attraction.
📍De Djawatan forest
💰Ticket: 10k Indonesian rupiah (about 5rmb)
It is about a 1.5-hour drive from Banyuwangi Pier. Banyuwangi Pier can take a boat to Bali, which is close to Ijen. So I suggest 👇
🍃Itinerary Arrangement
1️⃣ Forward: Ijen Volcano👉Lord of the Rings Forest👉 Take a boat from Banyuwangi to Bali
2️⃣ Reverse: Take a boat from Bali to Banyuwangi👉Lord of the Rings Forest👉 Accommodation👉Ijen
Forward is to go to the volcano first and then Bali, and reverse is to go to Bali first and then the volcano. It would be more suitable to go the other way, let the guide pick you up to play, then rest for a night and climb Ijen in the early morning, so you can take good photos and rest.
🍃Photography tips
1️⃣ Wear a solid color dress or Bohemian style
2️⃣ Good light from 3-5 pm
3️⃣ The scenic area will always emit smoke, and there will be Tyndall light as long as the weather is clear
4️⃣ Bring mosquito repellent spray
